I was planning to build a somewhat conventional "active" playspace, with the help of the Guatemalan parents in the school I support, until I read some of this material on "adventure playgrounds." I'm not sure how I'll use these ideas - but at least a sand/water area is immediately going into the plan, and hopefully at some point an area of "creative interaction." It has exponentially expanded my ideas for use of the small space we have available.

Sylvie and her Mama will be at our house next week, and we are so looking forward to hearing her stories and opinions on different subjects. We have lots of drawing paper and coloring materials waiting for her! We share her parents' joy in Sylvie's admission to Greenmount, but we will all think of Miss Heidi and how much Sylvie's growth has developed thanks to you.

You've been a blessing to all of us.

Our best and much love,

Grandma Ann

How to get from here to eternity is a phrase that just came into mind about escaping from the solar flares of the Sun. Finding out to get away from a problem was never a problem unless you got caught up in what you are looking for. Since the time of the Sun and Earth came into orbit with each other the Sun draws a little closer away from the Earth and we are here on the ride of life on Earth. Do escape measures take away the Sun and its way around the Universe is this a bad planet to be on because of the Sun? Finding a way to get from a problem was never a problem until the problem is the Sun. The Sun for all we are ready to know could fall out of space and time and leave us all behind and then we would want to call forth from the depths of outer space the Sun to which we follow for the ride of life on Earth. Since a Sun gobbles up the planets the planets gobble the Sun to just not quick enough to use its lifetime in our favor but the Sun is bigger and goes away when we are all worn out and can't take anymore of him.
